RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the technical development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of systems application software. This will include reviewing Use Case models that have been transformed into technical design documents and developing code based on the Use Case requirements. The candidate may be required to produce technical design artifacts such as UML class and sequence diagrams. Write, test, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs.
Core requirements (must have)
VERY strong J2EE skills base.
Very strong communication skills (oral and written)
Hands on work with Spring.
Some work with one or more of the following:
Hibernate
Java 5
Tiles
Consult with customers to determine installation site requirements, equipment locations, and review hardware and software
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
-Experience working within an Agile software development methodology
-Core J2EE development of at least 4 years
-Web Services using Axis (version 2 a plus)
-Spring 2.0
-Experience with an MVC architecture. Spring MVC preferred.

-Experience with implementing i18n / l10n in Java
-SQL and RDBMS experience of at least 2 years (Oracle 10g preferred)

EDUCTATION:

[POS System Installation and Support Technician, D.C. Metro Area]
We are seeking field service technicians for onsite installation, repair, and/or support of point-of-sale (POS) equipment. The POS systems support technician will provide customer technical service and support related to setup, installation, training, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of POS systems. An individual that has working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems would be a top candidate for this position. However, extensive experience is not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn how to use and operate the software applications that we market
Consult with customers to determine installation site requirements, equipment locations, and review hardware and software
Ensure all POS equipment is installed and operating correctly as required for the customer to conduct their business
Train our customers on the proper use of our hardware and software applications as needed
Provide phone support to customers
Work with customers to resolve system problems, delays or intermittent outages of computerized equipment and their peripherals
Diagnose and resolve software malfunctions
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have reliable transportation, a valid Tennessee driver license and an excellent driving record, and have the ability to travel as needed
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must log problem and resolution definitions with clear/concise grammar and spelling
Possess strong time management, customer service, and communications skills
You must be punctual and dependable
Be able to work a flexible work schedule, some nights, weekends and holidays when needed
Possess good judgment and practical business knowledge to make good decisions
Must be mechanically inclined
Must have some experience using Windows operating systems and typical business software applications
TRAINING:
On the job training as well as vendor sponsored training will be provided. Those who excel at self-study and hands-on learning will progress quickly.
